Our Easter stay at Hov i Søndre Land had come to an end and our next stop was Dagalifjell. But we invited our hosts Eva and Bjørn to come along for a ski-trip to Kollhaugen before we continued east. Bjørn could not ski due to an injured knee but came along, to help preparing skis and to wait in the car while we went on our ski-trip.
From Dokka, we drove RV33 east, exited at Dæhlibygda and followed signposts to Loengsbygda, Idrettsplass and Vangsjøknatten. After 9,3km on this road (toll road from Loengsbygda) we parked at Rishaugen (750m), just nort of Gladbakksætra. According to Eva, one can drive up to Rishaugen all year around. She ought to know, as she grew up in this very area.

We skied to the west for 3,6km on a prepared ski trail, passing Måsaputten. Near Lake Austre Flisvatnet, we took a trail to the north – a trail that probably encircles Kollhaugen. When we passed the foot of the east ridge, we left the trail and skied up the ridge. There were two points that could be the high point (160 meters apart) so we visited both. On the map, the western point is marked as point 896m and is probably the high point.

We took the same route back to Rishaugen and parted with Eva and Bjørn before we continued east and to our next short trip – on Golsfjellet.
