Amlaholten (508m), Apr 5 2021

Anne and Karma on Amlaholten

In the morning, we left Gomobu at Vaset while the snow was falling and after crossing the mountain range that divides eastern and western Norway, we found a lighter touch of winter in Indre Sogn. It’s now become a tradition to visit Amlaholten after trips to eastern Norway. It’s an easy walk (4,3km round trip) in a forest I really like.

We’re like – expecting spring soon…

Later the same day, we had ourselves a hike in the lower part of the Stedjeåsen forest, enjoying the thin layer of fresh snow that reminded us that spring isn’t around the corner just yet…

Just having fun…

A nice revisit to Kaupangsholtane, near the Sogndal airport. A touch of spring and a touch of winter at the same time. Very nice!

Tylderingen (1104m), Apr 7 2021

On top of Tylderingen

Today, I had the luxury to ski Tylderingen alone, from Fretland. I don’t mind going up here with Karma, but today I didn’t have to stop and wait on the way down. That makes ALL the difference

Kongaberget (160m), Apr 8 2021

Spring – where art thou?

Winter months” is defined as the December through February. That’s official b**sh**. Still waiting for the 2.0 version here…

Today, we settled for a nice walk across Røvhaugane and Kongaberget in Sogndal. Short and low can be very nice too!

Høgehaug (980m), Apr 10 2021

Høgehaug ski-trip today!

It had finally stopped snowing and we had ourselves a nice ski-trip to Høgehaug. There were limited places where we could bring Karma, without her having to struggle too much in the fresh snow.

Snøfjellet (1006m), Apr 11 2021

A *stunning* weather day between Nordfjord and Sunnfjord

On my way home from Sogndal, I couldn’t resist a ski-trip on Utvikfjellet. Off-trail would have been too much struggle for Karma, but the prepared track ran all the way to the top. An easy decision! This is as close to a perfect end to a week, as I can think of…
