My route up and down Tylderingen
My route up and down Tylderingen

Thursday: I started working at 7am, so I could log off close to 3pm. That is now the current “sweet spot” for having a chance to reach a local top and get back down without using the headlamp. Today I chose to ski Tylderingen.

Anne was out of town, on work, and would return home the next day.

I started out – like always when skiing – from Fretland (500m). I was not the first skier that had been up here in 2026…

It was nice to be back. I haven’t been on this mountain since March 2025.

The snow in the forest was for the most part good. The tracks from other skiers had set a bit, and it would get a bit bumpy. The clue would be to find my very own line down.

The sun was soon to be going down behind the mountains, but there was still enough light for good skiing.

The very upper part had hard snow, and the skiing wasn’t so nice up there.

The forest part was very nice. I stopped several times to take pictures, which was very convenient because my legs were full of acid. It’s my usual early season problem, until I get the technique in order.

After the sun had gone down, there was this beautiful shine

And when I got back to the car, I thought the sun had gone up in flames.
