The last ski-trip in the 2016-2017 season
Peaks visited:
Peak | Height | PF | Location |
Urdeggi | 1266m | 176m | Vik i Sogn, Norway |

This weekend was spent with my girlfriend Anne in Sogndal, and on this nice day we decided to make the trip across Sognefjorden, to Vikafjellet and enjoy the very last ski-trip this season.
The choice fell on Urdeggi – a top that none of us had been to before. We parked near the south end of lake Skjelingavatnet, a bit away from the many cars – indicating that we were not the only ones who found this a good day for skiing.

The spring snow is normally quite rotten, so we didn’t expect an epic ski-trip. And Karma would definitely have a tough day ahead of her. We crossed the lake, conscious of the possibility of falling through…

Then we ascended up to Skjelingahaugen, where we got Urdeggi in view.

As expected, Karma struggled in the rotten snow, but this would not be a long trip. The summit was only a 4km ski-trip from the trailhead. Besides, there snow had completely melted here and there, and dogs always follow the path of least resistance.

We reached the top 45 minutes after heading out and enjoyed a nice lunch and the views.

On the way back, we more or less stuck to our ascent route and were back at the car 2h:20m after leaving it.
