Friday: After the hike to Skjeltrene, we drove to Maristova to spend Midsummer’s eve with friends. To get to their cabin, we had to follow Kongevegen (The King’s road) for a while.

Heading up Kongevegen with a heavy load

We arrived at the “estate”, were welcomed by our friends Tone and Steinar and could check into our private cabin. Very nice!

We’re here!

We had the best evening. Great weather, nice food and good company!

Having a good time!

The next morning, Anne and Tone went into the forest for a swim in a lake. I went up to the local hill, going by the name “Haugen” – the hill (!)

I could see Anne and Tone returning from the morning swim and they took a detour to visit me on top.

Karma, Anne and Tone on “Haugen”

I wouldn’t call “Haugen” a mountain top, but the mountain view was good!

After breakfast, we headed back up on Filefjell to do one more mountain before returning to Sogndal.
