Saturday: Back in Sogndal with beautiful weather. The only downside was that I wasn’t feeling in shape. I was dead meat. I had to take a nap after breakfast, and just by that, I knew there was something off.

But it would be really bad to spend a day like this in the bed and I definitely feel worse doing so, than going for a trip. So, we went for a trip…

We drove up to Hodlekve/Rindabotn (skiing centre) to ski Helleberget. That would be a fairly short and easy ski-trip!

The snow outside the track was a little bit of everything. In some places, the snow carried Karma’s weight. In other places, it most certainly didn’t

After a while, Karma figured out where she could go and not go…

In not too long, we left the track and sat course for Helleberget. It was no nice to be out. I was feeling better already.

Actually, everyone was feeling just fine…

We agreed to curve around the mountain and ascend from the south.

I already started thinking about including Reppenipa on this trip, but I came to my senses and decided to be happy about getting to Helleberget.

There were surprisingly few skiers to see! Well, maybe it wasn’t surprising at all. On a day like this, people will seek towards the traditional mountains.

Now what? It felt a bit too soon to just return…

The proposal was obvious – continue to Høgehaug and return via the track. And so we did…

I really, really considered proposing the Fjærlandssete loop, although there was no track. But, I had a feeling that Anne would be satisfied with the trip as it was. I had to take into consideration that she does a lot of skiing as part of her work. Her work!!!

All in all, I was happy with the trip as it was. I was clearly not 100% and why risk getting worse when I had a much bigger plan for the following day…

We decided to stick to the extended plan and returned to Hodlekve via the track. Big fun on mountain skis!
