Our route across Blåtind
Our route across Blåtind

Tuesday: Very busy day. I left the car at the local car shop repair at 8am. I asked them to switch the battery I bought in October, as another car repair shop said the battery had lost 1/6 of the capacity. Plus, I asked them to take a look at the Haldex pump. Lately, I have had this feeling that my 4WD car actually was a 2WD car. I had mentioned this to the other car repair shop, and they said it would cost me NOK 10,000 to fix. My local shop said they had cleaned it and charged 2,500 for the job. The car was working as normal afterwards. I was not too happy with the shop that sold me the car and just suggested an expensive replacement. But later, I got a reasonable explanation, about the pump not lasting forever and should be replaced. Oh well…

Then followed a full-day workshop. Everyone in the meeting announced they were totally “cooked” afterwards. As such, I looked forward to getting to a mountain. I just had to pick up the car first.

I then drove to Havåg to hike Haddalshornet.

The weather was just nice. Yesterday’s snow shower was just that. Yesterday’s…

Karma was super-eager about getting onto the forest path.

I was quite tired, going up the forest. But when we came into the sunshine, I got energy and decided to hike Blåtind instead. It’s the same route. It’s just a matter of going left or right at some point.

Yesterday’s snow was basically gone and there wasn’t all that much ice on the trail.

I was curious if we would reach the top before the sun disappeared.

We did!

Back again – for the 2nd time in 2025. Man, it’s been a long time since I skied this mountain! The coastline is the wrong place for someone who loves skiing…

We stayed up there for a couple of minutes. I wanted to see the sun disappear.

The headlamp came on around 6pm. They days are getting noticeably longer and I love it!
