Hovdenakken (474m), Ramnefjellet (444m), Mar 22 2021
On this windy and rainy day, Karma and I did the usual loop across Hovdenakken and Ramnefjellet on Hareidlandet island.

Our hike from Moltudalen, across Selsteinen and Hestefjellet was extremely windy. On trail all the way except for the descent down Hestefjellet’s SW ridge.

I expected nothing but a nice and sunny hike as we took the “Martin-råsa” route up from Ringstaddalen. But the conditions on top were quite different! Descent along the normal route to Løsetvatnet.

Rjåhornet (600m), Mar 26 2021
We started out in Stemmedalen and followed the trail I’ve marked. On descent, we headed (off-trail) down to Høgsetdalen and made our way back to the trailhead. We spotted a hare, which is pretty rare on this mountain

Helgehornet (626m), Mar 27 2021
This was a good round trip hike! We headed out from Håskjoldtunnelen and after an off-trail “adventure” we got on the east ridge trail to the top. We descended the south ridge and had a good detour in the forest before returning to the trailhead along the main road(!)

Årvikveten (458m), Mar 28 2021
Today, I decided to try out a path from Larsnes (on Gurskøy) that I hadn’t hiked before. The path led us to lake Morkevatnet, from where we ascended off-trail up to the foot of Årvikveten. Upon return, we took the normal route to Drageskaret and returned to Larsnes via the old road. This was a nice round trip hike that I will repeat!
