Passing “Dagsturhytta” in Sogndal, on our way to Stedjeåsen
Yet another not-so-good day, but managed to walk myself and Karma up and down Stedjeåsen. It was nice to be back in Sogndal where Anne would take care of the morning and evening walks with Karma, allowing me to rest.

The shape was still rotten, but I guess I am just good at getting out. Today, Anne, Karma and I took a round trip hike across Amlaholten near Kaupanger.

Andhovden (512m), Feb 26 2021
Prior to hiking Andhovden, we went up to Røvhaugane (above Sogndal) during the lunch break
After work, still feeling crappy – I drove to Leikanger to do a walk up to Andhovden. This is not a top, just a hump on the way to a much higher mountain. But Andhovden was quite a sufficient goal today…

Enjoying ourselves in the Stedjeåsen forest
We began this Saturday by walking around in the Stedjeåsen forest. I was feeling a little bit better and started to look forward to better days…

Barsnesfjorden seen from Flotshaugen
On Saturday afternoon, I brought Karma and went to Barsnes to hike across Flotshaugen – a modest hill below Barsnesfjellet. In fact, I went a little higher than Flotshaugen and decided that I would ask Anne to come with me the next day. Maybe we could find a route up to Barsnesfjellet?

When I mentioned the “Flotshaugen – Barsnesfjellet project” to Anne, she got interested. We left one car at Tjørnes and then drove to Barsnes.
We followed the normal route to Flotshaugen, and then up the route I had done the day before. Then we started to scout for a way up the cliffs. After a while, we decided that the cliff area was a no-go zone due to ice, but we eventually found a way that took us up to the tractor road on Barsnesfjellet. From here, we hiked down the road and then down to Tjørnes via the Hesteggi path. Big fun!!!
