Monday: It was a gorgeous afternoon and I decided to drive to Flø to hike Skolma, and possibly – do a roundtrip hike across Signalhornet and Sneldelida. I would make the decision when I got to Skolma.

I’ve grown a little bit bored by the Flø route, But it’s the sunny side of the mountain, so…

Everything gets better when we get to higher ground

A place that never gets me bored, is Godøya island…

…or Sukkertoppen in Ålesund

Back to the present, we were making good progress up the mountain.

Then Karma spotted two hares. They were running all over the place and I told Karma not to move, otherwise there would be cat food for dinner all week. She didn’t move.

Joke aside, this is why I can have her off the leash. She doesn’t run away and she respects my commands. Nor does she care about sheep, cows or horses. She cares about hares though. But she doesn’t want daddy’s wrath.

And then we were on top of Skolma

I had made my mind up. There would definitely be a roundtrip hike!

Moving on!

Signalhornet is always interesting this time of year. There is always lots of snow here. If the snow is hard, getting up is a challenge. But today, the snow was quite friendly.

Karma took full advantage of the snow…

Then we moved on towards Sneldelida. It was SO nice to be walking up here this afternoon.

I wasn’t the only one enjoying myself…

And then we were up. On the signposts, this top is called “Sneldelihorn“.

As much as I loved walking, I also looked forward to getting back home. Dinner would be late today…

But days like this should be enjoyed to the fullest

Aaaahhh...
Aaaahhh…

The last time I did this round, I descended via Midtflødalen valley. Today, I wanted to return via Smørkinna and Veten, but as that would mean we would be back home much later, I decided to descend via Ytreflødalen.

At least, I would get some new tracks for my GPS history map…

After passing lake Svartevatnet, we still had lake Ytrefløvatnet to pass…

Eventually, we were down by the Flø road and could enjoy the sunset.

Just marvellous…

Super-nice!
