Storehanen (493m), May 3 2021
On a dual purpose mission in Moltudalen (Gurskøy island) today, for my local hiking group. I was going to take a closer look at our sticks that someone from the Moltu hiking group had painted orange (!) and really bad also. In addition, I was going to check where we should put up a signpost.

Blåtind (697m), May 4 2021
A round trip hike across Blåtind from Ringstaddalen valley. Blåtind is the highest top on the Hareidlandet island and a top I’ve visited hundred of times. I do enjoy the mix of no snow in the valley and snow higher up…

Haugshornet (431m), Nørdbergsheida (509m), May 6 2021
I took the regular path from Haugsbygda (Gurskøy) and up to Haugshornet. Then I followed the path to Nørdbergsheida (Klovane). From here, I hiked off-trail down to Vikelva river where I joined the path from Haugshornet. I followed this path (for the first time) back to the Haugsbygda starting point. Very nice!

Ulsteinhetta (336m), Breidfjellet (535m), Roppehornet (412m), May 7 2021
This was a very nice round trip from Gåsneset (on the way to Flø, Hareidlandet) where we took the path to Ulsettua (forking from the Roppehornet path). Then followed a not-so-fun off-trail route to Breidfjellet. The return went across Middagstua and Trollvassegga before topping out on Roppehornet. From here, we took the normal path back to Gåsneset.

Mosvarden (553m), May 8 2021
Our hike to Mosvarden from Gamleeidet (Hareidlandet island) started out quite nice. But when we got to the top, we could see a front of bad weather moving in. I decided we should descend via Litlevatnet and the weather hit us at Vikeskardet.

Holstadhornet (531m), Skafjellet (573m), May 9 2021
Today, I decided to try out the route from Brandal to Holstadhornet via Skarbakknakken – for the first time. I got some trail directions from someone living close to the mountain and they also let me park there!
It was a nice hike to Holstadhornet (it’s always nice when I hike a route for the first time) and then I decided to continue towards Skafjellet. At Skafjellet, descending straight into the upper part of Indredalen wasn’t tempting because of the snow. We headed down the same route for a little while until I found it OK to descend into the valley.
